Dr. Jennifer Brodmann received her Ph.D. in Financial Economics, M.S. in Financial Economics, and M.B.A. from the University of New Orleans (UNO). She is an Associate Professor at CSUDH and teaches courses in business finance, entrepreneurial finance, and personal finance and serves as a Faculty Researcher with the South Bay Economics Institute. Her main research interests are in corporate finance and entrepreneurial finance, where she explores topics relating to corporate governance and access to capital. Dr. Brodmann has presented her research at several conferences, which include the Eastern Finance Association, Southwestern Finance Association, Southern Finance Association, Academy of Financial Services, Academy of Economics and Finance, Western Decision Sciences Institute, the Gulf Research Council, and Financial Management Association. Her research has been published in several peer-reviewed academic journals, which include the International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Economics and Business, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Business Accounting and Finance Perspectives, Journal of Economic Cooperation and Development, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, and Business Ethics: A European Review. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Southwestern Finance Association.
Dr. Kirti Sawhney Celly earned her doctorate at the University of Southern California, following a master's degree in finance and a bachelor's in economics, both from the University of Bombay. She brings to her role of Professor at California State University Dominguez Hills, industry consulting experience and work mentoring graduate and undergraduate student teams that have consulted with a range of companies in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.A., She teaches and serves as course coordinator for the principles of marketing course and the capstone strategic management seminar, and also teaches the capstone seminar in strategic management, international market, distribution strategies, consumer behavior, personal and non-profit branding, and marketing research. Her research has been published in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of International Business Studies, Marketing Education Review, Journal of Business Research, and the International Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing. She serves as a mentor for some of our most underserved female students though Women & Philanthropy, engages students in service learning and experiential learning, and is committed to university and system-wide efforts to improve the student, faculty and staff development, resilience, thriving and well-being.
Dr. Meghna Singhvi graduated from Florida International University in 2011 with a doctoral degree in Accountancy. She has been a full time tenure-track faculty member since 2011. She currently works as an Associate Professor at CSUDH and teaches Internal Auditing, Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting and Cost Accounting courses. She is a CPA, has a Masters in Accountancy degree from Northern Kentucky University, MBA from Ohio University and a B.Com degree from Symbiosis University (India). She believes strongly in the power of mentorship because her mentor showed her the path to academia when she was pursuing a Masters degree at NKU in Fall 2003. Having a mentor can be life changing according to her. She is committed to the success of the students at CSUDH and takes pride in being the bridge between industry experts and the students at CSUDH. She is a co-director of the THRIVE mentorship program which was launched in 2020.
